This can depend on your specific goal, and what kind of progress you've been seeing prior to starting your protein powder.
If you're looking to lose weight, you will likely need to adjust your diet in some way, in addition to using your protein powder (for example, changes in food choices, portion sizes, etc.).
On the other hand, if your goal is to gain weight, then you'll most likely eat the same amount of slightly more than previously in order to promote a small calorie surplus.
