There's not one best way that works for everyone with limiting soda consumption. The most simple and healthy solution here would be to replace it with another calorie-free beverage. You can try drinking water, diet soda, diet juice, or another sweetened calorie-free/reduced-calorie drink. This will help with reducing unnecessary calories and sugars in your diet.
One thing that works for some people is to "cut" their sugary drinks with something else. For example if you normally drink full-sugar juice or soda, try adding a little bit of water or other calorie-free drinks into it. This effectively reduces the sugar/calories in it, while still leaving some of the taste there. Over time you can use less and less soda/sugar drink and hopefully can get it to a minimum.
Also, remember that just lowering the total quantity of it that you drink is really helpful. Even decreasing consumption by one can a day can make a really big difference in your health and weight over time.
