Shake, shake, shake! To dissolve your powder fully, the first trick is to use a blender bottle – be sure to add the liquid first then add your scoop of protein. Shake your blend vigorously for at least 30 seconds.
Another easy way to make sure your blend dissolves well is to pulse it in a blender for about 15 seconds. A final trick one of our customers taught us is using a small, handheld milk frother. They're cheap, easy-to-use, convenient to wash, and will definitely do the trick.

For most folks who aren't used to vegan protein powders the consistency can be a bit of a surprise. This is because plant-based proteins (like our organic brown rice protein and organic pea protein) are naturally insoluble in water. If you're having a lot of trouble with grainy vegan protein, we recommend making your protein shake with a different type of liquid (vanilla soymilk works great!) or adding it to a protein smoothie with fresh fruit, ice, peanut butter, or bananas.
If veganism is a preference rather than a dietary restriction, we can also get you started with a whey-protein based blend. We even have whey protein blends that contain no lactose. These whey-based protein powders dissolve completely in water and have a much more traditional "milkshake" taste.
